Reservation Dogs and the Mvskoke Nation Youth Council

Mvskoke-Nation-Youth-Council

The Mvskoke Nation Youth Council recently served as ushers at a special screening of Reservation Dogs for the Muscogee Nation.  The event was held at the River Spirit Resort in August. The group was excited for this opportunity as several members were hoping to have a watch party when the first show aired on FX on Hulu.

This opportunity allowed members to serve the Muscogee Nation and get some of the best seats in the house to watch the first two episodes. One of the MNYC members, Charles Mason, also had the opportunity to be an extra in the pilot.  It was exciting to see local Native youth, community members, and locations that these youth see every day in real life.  The MNYC members in attendance gave the show two thumbs up and couldn’t stop laughing. Nancy Mason, MNYC Advisor quoted, “Representation matters and we know that all of Indian country is cheering for this show!”
