The UNITY Peer Guides are dedicated to promoting community safety, empowering youth and decreasing the number of incarcerated Native youth. The Peer Guides Cohort have been dedicated to addressing the root causes of native community challenges. Speaking openly about mental health resources and tools available is a way of promoting community safety.  The goal is to create a strong support system for Native youth who may have thoughts of suicide. The more people that have tools and resources to help, the safer our Native youth can be.
