Register for National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week®
As UNITY works to foster the spiritual, mental, physical, and social development of American Indian and Alaska Native youth and to help build a strong, unified, and self-reliant Native America through greater youth involvement, we wanted to let you know about an excellent opportunity to join other youth substance abuse education efforts around the country.
National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week, sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, is a week-long health observance to provide to teens the facts about drugs, alcohol, and addiction from scientists and other experts.
Join more than 2,000+ educational events during the week of January 22–28, 2018, and help shatter the myths about drugs and alcohol. It’s easy to get involved!
Register your event and receive support from NIDA staff to plan a successful activity. Utilize NIDA’s educational toolkits as well as NIDA’s free science-based materials to complement your event, brainstorm activity ideas, and partner with other organizations. Get your event nationally recognized by adding it to the official 2018 map of activities for National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week.
