Youth leader Rory Wheeler promotes UNITY at USET
UNITY Earth Ambassador alumnus and 25 Under 25 leader, Rory Wheeler (Seneca), advocated for the development of UNITY youth councils as he presented to the membership of the United South and Eastern Tribes, better known as USET. The 2018 USET Sovereignty Protection Fund (USET SPF) Annual Meeting was hosted by the Seneca Nation of Indians at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in New York.
“I’m very honored and privileged to have been given the opportunity to present to the Board of Directors for the United South and Eastern Tribes on an organization that means so much to me, UNITY” stated Wheeler. “I shared the importance engaging Native youth, supporting us and ensuring that our voices are elevated, and that an investment in their young people is an investment in the future of Indian Country. UNITY is an impactful organization that inspires and crated hope in our communities. Thank you to USET for allowing me to present.” UNITY is excited to be hosting the next two National Conferences on the east coast and look forward to the continued eastern tribal support.

Wheeler will continue to serve UNITY and Native youth, as he was recently elected as one of the youngest Marshals for his nation. “Nyaweh to all the awesome supporters that took the Seneca Party to a landslide victory, I was elected Seneca Nation Marshal and it’s an honor to be serving with a great team!” said Wheeler. Congratulations from the entire UNITY family!
