Mesa, AZ – There is nothing more powerful than
an educated and motivated Native American. Native youth are destined for greatness. Pursing a higher education isn’t the easiest undertaking, especially when you’re far from your tribal reservation/home, so we commend these young leaders attending Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona.
Late last month, UNITY Staff members Lynnann Yazzie and Jared Massey presented before students about UNITY, Inc. The UNITY staff shared information about UNITY and opportunities that UNITY offers, and how they can benefit from the creation of a UNITY Youth Council. The staff also shared useful information about George Washington University’s Inspire Native Teens Program, WINS, and Center for Native American Youth.
We hope to see a UNITY Youth Council come out of Mesa Community College in the coming future!
