UNITY was once-again represented in the annual Native American Connections Parade, an event associated with the Arizona Native American Recognition Days celebration. The parade took place on October 10 in sunny Phoenix, Arizona.
With a parade theme of Celebrating the Beauty of Native American Culture, UNITY’s #IwillLive entry featured a traditional Apache wickiup, constructed by UNITY youth councils including White Mountain Apache Tribe Youth Council, Brophy Native American Club, CRIT Youth Council, the Yavapai Apache Youth Council, and UNITY staff.
Also representing UNITY in the parade was the Hualapai Youth Council, with their own entry at the annual community event.
