Kiara Tanta-Quidgeon. named to UNITY’s 25 Under 25 list, finds empowerment in wearing many hats to impact her community.
“KIARA TANTA-QUIDGEON, Mohegan, found out on her birthday in April 2024 that she was part of United National Indian Tribal Youth’s 25 Under 25 list. She was overwhelmed with joy, pride and honor to connect with Indigenous youth in person at the UNITY national conference in Portland, Oregon, last year. “I grew up in really close connection to my Mohegan kin and community, but the more that I get to meet folks from other tribes and really build my community of particularly Indigenous youth leaders is really, really empowering for me,” the 24-year-old said.” – Kalle Benallie/ Indian Country Today
