During the week of October 14th through 19th, the ACIR InnerVoice Youth Council played an important behind-the-scenes role in supporting Tribal Clan Wars Week, a dynamic week-long celebration filled with friendly competition, cultural pride, and community bonding in Livingston, Texas.
As community members gathered to participate in games, challenges, and cultural activities rooted in tribal tradition, the youth council stepped up to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their contributions included assembling prize bags, creating custom stickers for water bottles, helping set up and serve meals, picking up trash, and assisting wherever needed throughout the week.
These acts of service, though humble in nature, were rooted in spiritual wellness—honoring the value of contributing to the community with a good heart and positive intentions. The presence of youth at such a vibrant cultural event demonstrated the importance of intergenerational collaboration and the passing on of responsibility and tradition.
Whether through tidying up shared spaces or adding creative touches like personalized stickers, ACIR InnerVoice Youth Council members exemplified teamwork and cultural respect. Their work behind the scenes helped create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all who participated in the week’s festivities.
Tribal Clan Wars Week not only celebrated cultural identity and community spirit—it also gave youth a meaningful platform to lead by example. Through their support, the InnerVoice Youth Council reminded us that service is a powerful way to stay connected to culture, community, and each other.
