IAMNDN Youth Council Celebrates Native American Heritage Day in Medicine Park

On November 4, 2024, the IAMNDN Youth Council proudly collaborated once again with the Medicine Park Wildlife Refuge Aquarium to cohost the annual Native American Heritage Day. With over 150 attendees, this event served as a vibrant celebration of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and resilience.

As part of the celebration, IAMNDN invited Comanche youth dancers to participate in a cultural exposition, sharing their songs, dances, and teachings with visitors. Their presence and performances added depth and authenticity to the experience, honoring the spiritual significance of dance and cultural expression within Indigenous communities.

This annual event reflects the Youth Council’s ongoing commitment to Spiritual Wellness by strengthening cultural identity, fostering intergenerational connections, and promoting respect for traditional ways of life. Through collaboration, cultural sharing, and community engagement, IAMNDN continues to uplift Native voices and traditions while creating meaningful spaces for youth to connect with their heritage.
