UNITY has announced that they will provide complimentary virtual access to live general sessions and special evening activities during its National UNITY Conference from July 2 through July 6 in Dallas, Texas. The national Native American youth leadership event will feature daily keynote speakers and featured guests including Chance Rush (Hidatsa), actor, trainer, motivational speaker, and comedian; Tia Wood (Cree/Salish), dancer, singer, and TikTok star; Hud Oberly (Comanche/Osage/Caddo) creative director for Urban Native Era; and Norma Baker Flying Horse (Hidatsa/Dakota Sioux/Assiniboine), fashion designer for Red Berry Woman.

Also, UNITY has announced additional featured keynote speakers, including professional volleyball player Lauren Schad (Cheyenne River Lakota Nation), Rutherford Falls actress Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux), and Charly Edsitty (Navajo), a multimedia journalist for ABC 13 in Houston, Texas.

“Through support from our sponsors, we are pleased to provide complimentary access to our national conference general sessions and evening activities. This includes attendee favorites: talent show, cultural night, and the UNITY Gala and Awards program,” said Mary Kim Titla, executive director for UNITY. “We understand the challenges many of our youth attendees who wished to be with us faced during this time as we re-engage in in-person events. Our hope is they will still feel connected albeit being a virtual experience.”
