Following the annual Red Lake Holiday Parade, the Red Lake Nation Youth Council brought the community together for an evening of celebration, connection, and culture by hosting the 2024 Holiday Round Dance. With over 100 attendees, the event promoted social wellness through laughter, music, and shared traditions.

The round dance welcomed community members of all ages for a night of fun and cultural connection. Youth and adult drummers were invited to set the rhythm for the evening, including talented youth drummers from Endazhii-Nitaawiging Charter School, who proudly contributed to the energy and spirit of the gathering.

Guests were treated to warm bowls of soup and sandwiches, served by youth council members, helping to create a welcoming, family-friendly environment. The event offered a space for community members to reconnect and celebrate the holiday season in a culturally grounded way.

The Holiday Round Dance demonstrated the Red Lake Nation Youth Council’s continued commitment to strengthening community bonds and uplifting Indigenous culture through youth leadership and engagement.
