Rocky Mountain Region

Rhiannon Eaglespeaker proudly represents a rich and diverse cultural background, belonging to the Blackfoot (Bloods) of Alberta, Canada, and the Kiowa, Southern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes of Oklahoma. She currently serves as the Rocky Mountain Area Representative on the 2025–2026 National UNITY Council Executive Committee, representing Native youth from Montana and Wyoming.

This fall, Rhiannon will begin her college journey at the University of Montana, where she plans to major in Journalism. With a passion for storytelling, she aims to elevate Indigenous voices and bring greater visibility to Native communities through media.

Rhiannon has held multiple leadership positions in youth councils, including serving as president of two different organizations. 

In these roles, she has mentored young leaders and advocated for the importance of cultural preservation through hands-on education in traditional practices such as dancing, singing, beading, sewing, and participating in ceremonies.

Deeply committed to cultural awareness, inclusion, and intertribal unity, Rhiannon strives to ensure all youth feel seen and supported. Her goal as Rocky Mountain Representative is to increase participation from diverse tribal nations at UNITY and to expand opportunities for tribes in Montana and Wyoming to engage more fully in national conversations on youth leadership.

With a strong sense of purpose and cultural pride, Rhiannon Josephine Eaglespeaker is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces where Native youth can thrive, lead, and honor the teachings of their ancestors.
