Members of the San Carlos Apache Youth Council and Steve Harvey, National UNITY Council (NUC) Western Region Representative, recently participated in the San Carlos Apache Tribe’s annual Veterans Parade, which was postponed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The group was joined by other youth who were invited to take part. All of the youth involved are affiliated with the NUC network.
Following the parade, a UNITY booth was featured at the San Carlos Apache Veterans Powwow. UNITY was one of the sponsors of the powwow Princess pageant. Five outstanding young ladies competed. The winner is Shyrall Willie Keeto, Navajo from St. Michaels Arizona. The winner and other contestants were offered complimentarconference registrations to UNITY conferences in 2022.
