United National Indian Tribal Youth, UNITY, is celebrating its 44th birthday tomorrow, April 16. In honor of their 44 years, UNITY, the largest Native youth leadership development organization, will be kicking off a 44 Day Challenge for Native youth on Facebook Live. UNITY wants to encourage youth to reach out to others, and to send the message that, even though we are all staying at home, we can still find ways to serve our communities.
Members of the National UNITY Council’s Executive Committee will share ways youth councils and individuals can complete a project while self-isolating, utilizing the YOUth Can! Curriculum. They will also give tips for staying connected with other Native youth using various online platforms while social distancing, and share available resources.
