Ethan Hedgepeth, a proud member of the Cherokee and Tuscarora Nations, is a dedicated student currently attending East Carolina University. He is pursuing a degree in exercise science with the goal of becoming a physical therapist. Passionate about helping others heal and thrive, Ethan’s career path reflects his commitment to health, wellness, and community service.

Originally from Hollister, North Carolina, Ethan is deeply connected to his roots and community. He is known for his love of the outdoors, often spending time in nature where he finds peace and balance. His appreciation for the land reflects the values passed down through his culture and family.

Ethan has chosen to run for Southeast Regional Representative because he wants to serve and uplift the community that shaped him. His motivation comes from a desire to give back, to be a voice for Native youth in his region, and to create positive change. Through this leadership opportunity, he hopes to inspire others to stay connected to their culture, pursue their goals, and believe in the strength of their identity.

With a strong foundation in education, a clear vision for the future, and a heartfelt dedication to his people, Ethan is ready to step forward as a leader and advocate for Indigenous youth in the Southeast.
