On August 15th I was able to head to Livingston, TX to visit with the Inner Voice Youth Council and sit in on their recruitment night.
“This was my first event I attended as Rep, so it was very important to me that I attended this event. I really enjoyed it, It was a small group setting with plenty of discussion.”
I attended a Youth-led Powwow, at the Comanche Nation. Where youth held many different roles within the event.
“To see the youth taking on many leaderships roles throughout the event was very beautiful. To see the amount of support that the IAMNDN Youth Council has was very heartwarming. It was one of those moments that, really makes you sit back and realize how beautiful it truly is to be Native and to be in these spaces.”
