On December 16, 2023, the Hualapai Tribal Youth Council joined forces with several community departments to host the Elder Reindeer Co-ed Chair Volleyball Tournament in Peach Springs, Arizona. This exciting event brought together nearly 200 participants, including elders aged 55 and older from 12 different tribes across Arizona.
The tournament was designed to promote physical wellness and provide a fun, inclusive activity tailored to the abilities of elder community members. Alongside the volleyball competition, a talent show and dinner were held the night before, creating opportunities for social connection and celebration.
This multi-day event highlighted the importance of honoring elders through health, activity, and community gatherings. The Youth Council is proud to support initiatives that encourage physical wellness while fostering respect and unity among tribal communities.
