On April 5, 2024, the Hualapai Tribal Youth Council invited tribal member Sage Honga to lead her inaugural Intergenerational Trauma Workshop in Peach Springs, Arizona. The workshop was open to the community and attended by around 20 participants eager to learn and engage.
This important session explored the effects of trauma passed down through generations and offered tools for healing and understanding. The interactive nature of the workshop allowed participants to connect with one another and discuss ways to break cycles of trauma within families and the community.
The event emphasized Mental Wellness by creating a safe space for dialogue, education, and empowerment. The Youth Council was proud to support Sage Honga in sharing her knowledge and providing valuable resources to strengthen the well-being of the Hualapai community.
