The National Indian Child Welfare Association is inviting artists to submit artwork for its 2027 Protecting Our Children Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This call for artists gives Native artists an opportunity to showcase their talents while supporting one of NICWA’s major annual events. The selected artwork will be used in promotional materials for the conference and will serve as a visual centerpiece throughout the event.

The selected artist will receive a $2,000 cash prize for the use of their work. They may also receive a free vendor spot at the conference. The chosen image will be featured on NICWA’s website and in printed materials that reach thousands of people.

This is a great opportunity for artists to gain visibility, share their creativity, and contribute to an important gathering focused on protecting Native children and strengthening Native families.

The deadline to apply is May 15, 2026.
