The Minneapolis Convention Center, Hilton hotel, and local planning committee are excited to welcome more than 2,000 Native youth and advisers to Minneapolis in July 2022. UNITY‘s signature event will be held July 8 – 12th in downtown Minneapolis. UNITY‘s Executive Director MaryKim Titla, San Carlos Apache, as well as members of the Urias Communications team, traveled to Minnesota this month to meet with representatives who will play a role in the conference planning.

Attending the first meeting for the local planning committee included representatives from the Indigenous Peoples Task Force, the Native American Community Clinic, Little Earth Residents Association, the Minneapolis American Indian Center, Minneapolis Public Schools, and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. Volunteers from the Twin Cities are stepping forward to ensure conference participants receive a warm welcome.
