Call for Speed Workshop Presenters 2019

Do you have an interesting topic you would like to present and discuss with Native youth at the UNITY Midyear Conference?
CLICK HERE to Submit your speed workshop idea by Friday, January 11, 2019! 

Similar to speed dating, presenters will have 25 minutes with each group (total of 3) of Native youth participants. The youth will then rotate between tables of topics that interest them. UNITY is seeking presenters to lead discussions on environmental issues, education, career development, wellness, cultural teachings and much more. Wellness Warriors’ Webinar Watch Party Winner Announced!

UNITY recently gave away three complimentary registrations for the 2019 UNITY Midyear Conference to a  lucky winner who participated in the latest Wellness Warriors webinar entitled “How to Become More Involved with the UNITY Family.” The webinar, facilitated by Dr. Pearl Yellowman, informed participants about UNITY’s youth programs such as the National UNITY Council, Earth Ambassadors, 25 Under 25, UNITY News, UNITY Fire and its annual conferences. About 80 youth and advisors watched the webinar. Salt River High School alone had more than 50 students login for the interactive virtual training. Congratulations to Terrance Crisin from the Kewa T.R.U.T.H. Youth Council of Santo Domingo Pueblo in New Mexico who won the registrations!

Call for presenters:  UNITY seeks Speed Workshop submissions for Midyear Conference

Are you Interested in presenting at the 2019 UNITY Midyear Conference? We are now accepting submission for our very popular Speed Workshops. Similar to speed dating, presenters speak to groups of 10 participants at a time while youth participants rotate between tables of topics that interest them. This format of “workshopping” is meant to keep your audience engaged and feeling comfortable enough to contribute to the discussion. There is always a high interest for Peer-to-Peer youth-led workshops.
