Healthcare professionals and community-based providers are invited to attend Rethinking Nutrition: Why Traditional Foods Matter in Wellness and Beyond on March 26, 2026, from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
The webinar will explore how traditional foods and culturally grounded wellness practices can support whole-person health for American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Participants will learn about the relationship between food as medicine, cultural knowledge and improved health outcomes.
The session will also address how nutrition can be more consistently included in clinical care, particularly in the prevention and management of chronic disease. Presenters will share practical and respectful approaches for discussing nutrition, traditional foods and holistic wellness during clinical visits and through community-based programs.
Designed for healthcare teams, public health professionals and community providers, the webinar will highlight ways to promote healing, strengthen cultural connections and support long-term wellness through culturally responsive nutrition practices.
Participants may earn one Continuing Nursing Education credit or one Continuing Medical Education credit for completing the session.
