Over 100 community members gathered at Hollis Henrich’s Park for the much-anticipated annual Easter Egg Hunt, with the Native Village of Eyak Tribal Youth Council playing an important role in making the event a success. Youth council members helped hide eggs throughout the park, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for children and families.
The Easter Egg Hunt brought together families from across the community in a lively celebration of spring, joy, and togetherness. By volunteering to hide eggs, the youth council not only contributed to a beloved tradition but also promoted physical wellness by encouraging children to explore the outdoors and engage in active play.
This event highlighted the importance of community involvement and intergenerational connection, as elders, parents, and youth came together to create a safe, fun environment for children to enjoy. The youth council’s participation reinforced their commitment to supporting healthy lifestyles and fostering a sense of belonging within the Native Village of Eyak.
Through simple acts of service like this, the Tribal Youth Council continues to strengthen community bonds and promote wellness in all its forms—physical, social, and cultural.
