Rhiannon Eaglespeaker carries a powerful legacy as a young Indigenous leader, proudly representing her rich cultural heritage from the Blackfoot (Bloods) of Alberta, Canada, and the Kiowa, Southern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes of Oklahoma. As the 2025–2026 Rocky Mountain Area Representative on the National UNITY Council Executive Committee, she represents Native youth from Montana and Wyoming, bringing with her a deep passion for inclusion, culture, and intertribal unity.
This fall, Rhiannon will begin her next chapter at the University of Montana, where she plans to study Journalism. With a natural gift for storytelling and a drive to elevate Indigenous voices, she aspires to bring greater visibility to Native communities through media, amplifying stories that often go unheard.
Her leadership journey is rooted in hands-on community engagement. Rhiannon has served as president of two youth councils, where she mentored young leaders and championed cultural preservation. Through workshops and community events, she has taught traditional practices such as dancing, singing, beading, sewing, and participating in ceremonies—ensuring that the knowledge and lifeways of her ancestors continue to thrive among the next generation.
Rhiannon’s vision is grounded in cultural awareness, inclusion, and unity. As Rocky Mountain Representative, she is committed to increasing participation from underrepresented tribal nations within the UNITY network and expanding access to leadership opportunities for Native youth in Montana and Wyoming. She believes in the power of visibility and connection, working to create spaces where all Indigenous youth feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
With a strong sense of purpose and cultural pride, Rhiannon is a rising leader dedicated to building a future where Native youth lead boldly, uplift one another, and walk in the footsteps of their ancestors with strength and confidence.
